Joseph Calkin will introduce Docker. It is an open platform for developers and sysadmins to build, ship, and run distributed applications. This will be followed by short talks on Acorn Archimedes Emulation, DBeaver, LD-Log, and Motion Tracking in Blender.

Bob will give a quick demo of DBeaver, a cross-platform database manager. It is a Swiss army penknife of database development and supports a number of database backends such as postgres and sqlite. It gives a reasonably clean GUI for most tasks. Bob will also highlight areas where native tools may a better bet.

LD-Log tracks your travel routes using the device’s GPS receiver. Waypoints are taken either manually or automatically (intervals can be set by the user). The data be exported as geospatial information and can create a “trip report”.
